Speakers

Mark Currie is the CEO of The National Logistics Academy a nationwide network of specialist logistics training providers. Mark will introduce the event by looking at the pressures that logistics businesses are facing in the current economic climate and how this affects investment decisions. Factors such as Brexit uncertainty, the National Living Wage, the shortage of speculative new sheds, the growth in e-tailing and reverse logistics are all presenting very real challenges to the sector.

Simon Dixon is the Managing Director of Hatmill. They help a wide range of customers improve their Logistics Operations and Supply Chains. Simon will talk through how to approach investing in warehouse technology, including evaluating options, estimating benefits, payback calculations, minimising risk and how to take the rest of the business with you to get their buy in.

Gary Ison is a Sales Training & Product Development Manager with Toyota Material Handling UK. Gary will talk about getting the most out of the MHE equipment. Using the right equipment for the right application and the use of Telematics. Telematics can offer the next level of truck management and help you maximise fleet utilisation. He will also look at budget level automation solutions and demonstrate the very latest technology and innovation in MHE.
