ADR
Introduction
ADR
is the carriage of potentially hazardous goods by road
within the European Union. Drivers are required by law
to hold a licence if they wish to carry hazardous or
potentially hazardous products.

Under the new Driver CPC regulations, Mantra Learning
has registered the ADR course with JAUPT providing
candidates with the option to register 21 hours towards
their Driver CPC qualification.
Overview
ADR
is the carriage of potentially hazardous goods by road
within the European Union. The ADR licence is split into
different classes, the passing of these classes enable
the different types of materials to be carried.
ADR Tankers provide the candidates with a good
understanding on the specific additional provisions and
regulations applicable to the use of tankers and tank
containers.
Who
is it for?
The
course is designed for drivers, warehouse personnel or
any other individuals that will be in contact with
potentially hazardous substances.
Outcome
On
successful completion candidates will receive their ADR
licence directly from the DVLA.
Content
A

overleaf. In summary, the course covers how to
effectively deal and/or identify gases, flammable
liquids, toxics, flammable solids and other various
substances.
Assessment
Examinations on each module are held at the end of the
course. The examinations are multiple choice and the 4
hour sessions is held in exam condition.

Progression
Having acquired the ADR licence, learners can progress
onto Driving Goods Vehicles NVQ Level 2 which is the
ideal progression for an ambitious learner wanting to
engage in further training.
Technical Specification
As
outlined by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA)
the minimum requirement to achieve an ADR licence is
that candidates must pass the following modules; Core,
Packages or Tankers and 1 of the 7 classes.
