CPC
National
Introduction
The
requirement for goods vehicle operators to show evidence
of professional competence is contained in the Goods
Vehicles Act 1995. Organisations operating goods
vehicles over 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight will
require an Operator's Licence. In order to apply for an
‘O’ licence an individual within the company must hold a
valid Certificate of Professional Competence in Road
Haulage (CPC) qualification.

Overview
By
working closely with employers and learner feedback,
Mantra Learning has designed a unique format for the CPC
course which supports the learner at every stage of the
course by providing support days in literacy, numeracy
and transport operation. The learner receives the study
notes 5 weeks prior to the exam to begin background
reading and help prepare them before attending the main
body of the course.
Who
is it for?
The
CPC National is aimed at those individuals that wishing
to further their careers prospects by gaining a
nationally recognised accreditation enabling them to
take responsibilities to for national transport
operations.
Outcome
On
successfully passing the three course modules, the
candidate would be issued with a Certificate of
Professional Competence in National Road Haulage from
the OCR.

The
exam day consists of candidates sitting 3 individual
units:

days including support, revision and exam days.
Progression
Candidates could progress onto the CPC International
which allows operation outside of the UK.
