First Aid at work
Introduction
The First Aid at Work course provides learners with the
knowledge and competence to deal with incidents and
accidents within the work place. The first aid course
offered at Mantra Learning is accredited by the
Health and Safety Executive and meets the First Aid
regulations of 1981.
Who
is it for?
Anyone that has basic first aid knowledge and looking to
further their skills to assist in the case of an
emergency.
Outcome
On completing of the course, candidates receive a HSE
First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3
years.
Content
The course outline consists of a blend of classroom
teaching, practical exercises and interactive activities
between candidates covering topics such as
unconsciousness, wounds & bleeding, airway & breathing,
fractures and burns.
Assessment
The final day of the course involves a practical
examination.
Duration
3 day course – Wednesday to Friday.
Progression
Following first aid at work training, employers could
build on their staff training needs by sending
candidates to train in fire marshal with Mantra
Learning, ensuring they are competent to deal with any
fire emergencies.
