HGV Training Cat C+E

Introduction

Drivers wishing to upgrade their Category C licences to include a Category C+E, otherwise known as articulated vehicles.

Who is it for?

Organisations with drivers that currently hold a Cat C licence and wishing to up-skill their staff to drive an articulated vehicle.

Outcome

On passing the DSA test the candidate would be fully qualified to drive an articulated vehicle.

Content

The candidate receives 16 hours of training in the truck which involves training on the road and Mantra unique manoeuvring pad – the largest pad in the North West.

Assessment

Towards the latter end of the training, Mantra Learning’s DSA qualified instructor conducts a mock test with candidates to prepare them for the real test.

On the day of the HGV test, candidates arrive two hours prior to the test and practice before driving to the DSA centre.

Duration

The average candidate would complete the training within 4 weeks.

Progression

Stay qualified to drive by completing the Driver CPC.

Having achieved the licence candidates could progress onto a worked based learning qualification such as DGV.
