Overview of Course
Apprentices will complete a full Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship over 18-24 months.
They then have the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Light Motor Vehicle apprenticeship.
What you will learn
Our Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship covers:
- Fundamentals of specific vehicle systems including steering & suspension, braking, battery & charging, exhaust and air-conditioning
- Hybrid/Electric Vehicle system and safe working procedures
- How the business works and how to contribute to the overall results
- How to carry out safety inspections and routine maintenance using manufactures' specifications
- Health & Safety legislation and requirements for the workplace

Progression
If you're looking for a career driven by technology, with opportunities to progress and earn over £30,000 per year, a Light Motor Vehicle apprenticeship can be the next step after completing your Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship.
With further experience and skills, you could progress on to become a Senior Technician, Workshop Manager, or MOT Manager.
