Parent & Teacher Guide
An apprenticeship is a great starting point to a career. Earn whilst you learn and gain accredited qualifications, designed by industry professionals.
What are the benefits?
Apprenticeships provide the opportunity to develop and progress professionally with fully funded qualifications and training.
Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16, living in England, and are available up to degree level and beyond, what's more;
– Earn a salary and paid holiday whilst learning
– Some apprentices enjoy a salary increase on finishing their training and gaining their qualification
– Excellent progression opportunities, whether looking to study further or climb the ranks within the workplace
80% of an apprentices time will be spent "on-the-job" with the further 20% spent "off-the-job" supported by a training provider or college.
Qualifications
There are various levels of apprenticeships to apply for depending on existing skills, experience and qualifications. Apprentices will follow a Scheme of Work to ensure all elements of the apprenticeship is completed, leading to an industry recognised standard or qualification.
Progression Opportunities
Most apprentices move on to full time roles after an apprenticeship, with starting salaries of up £25,000 which is more than what many university graduates earn when they first enter employment. Working for a specific company as part of the apprenticeship also allows apprentices to make a positive impression on employers, earning themselves an offer to continue in a full time role before their apprenticeship is even over.
Some of our apprentices have progressed on to the following opportunities:
- Warehouse Supervisor
- Senior Technicians
- Breakdown & Recovery Services
- Transport Manager
- MOT Managers
- Workshop Managers
- Service Managers
- Business Ownership
- Customer Service Advisers
