LGV Licence Training

Anyone over the age of 18 and holds a full car licence can learn the skills and knowledge to become an LGV driver and acquire their Cat C or C+E licence.
Overview of Course
The LGV Driver training programmes provide learners with the opportunity to obtain their Cat C and/or Cat C+E under the guidance of industry specialists who support learners with both practical and theory training.
Carrying out your LGV Licence Training with Mantra Learning will provide you with the best route to passing. Our off-road manoeuvring pads are built to Driving Standards Agency (DSA) specifications, providing you with the perfect learning environment to practice manoeuvres and gain confidence in moving the truck before driving on the roads. Mantra Learning has been training people in logistics and transport for over 50 years and prides itself on high-quality tuition from industry professionals. Instructors provide guidance on the number of training hours needed prior to a test to ensure learners have the best possible chance of passing.
On completion of your training hours, you will be ready to take a test to obtain a professional LGV driving licence and Driver Qualification Card (DQC) enabling you to drive goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes and improve your career prospects.
Mantra Learning are an approved centre for Driver CPC periodic training and have developed modern resources to interact learners and ensure CPC is relevant and will add value to your job.

Driving programmes
The following driving programmes can be completed through Mantra Learning:
- B+E (trailer, horsebox or caravans less than 750kgs)
- D1 (minibus training up to 3.5 ton)
- Category C1 (vehicles between 3.5 -7.5 ton)
- Category C1+E (vehicles up to 7.5 ton with a trailer)
- Category C (class 2)
- Category C+E (class 1)

Progression
Drivers may aspire and wish to acquire their Cat C+E licence, which will allow them to drive articulated vehicles. Further progression opportunities can include ADR training, Road Haulage CPC and Transport Management.
The Driving Goods Vehicle Apprenticeship is an apprenticeship funded route to acquire an LGV licence and develop professional driving skills.
