Paul Gratton came to the Job Gym having been made redundant from a printing company. Paul had been to the Job Gym before and was aware what we could offer, so he self-referred from Alexandra Park JobCentrePlus.

Paul was interested in carrying out Driver CPC so it was agreed Paul would complete the Workskills and Professional Truck qualification. Furthermore, after discussion with the employability team, Paul decided to complete the Warehouse and Storage programme to gain a Forklift Truck licence to further enhance his chances of employment.

When asked about the impact the Job Gym had made to Paul and his training he told us;

"I've really enjoyed myself, the staff really know their stuff and are very helpful, they seem to want to help everyone. There's not many training providers you can go to and gain some new skills, a couple of licences and secure a job even before you have finished training. I'd recommend the Job Gym to anyone wanting to get back into work."

The Job Gym has relationships with various employers and whilst on programme, a vacancy became available for a Warehouse Operative / 7.5 Tonne Driver with Holme Dodsworth.

Paul informed the Job Gym that he was interested in this role and an interview was arranged. Paul was successful in the interview and was due to start work the following Monday after his training was complete.

Paul is enjoying every minute at Holme Dodsworth. Well done Paul.
