Forklift Truck Experienced Operator
A learner with prior experience can become a highly proficient forklift truck operator in just 1-3 days.
Now available through e-truck, an RTITB accredited digital learning programme.
Overview of Course
Dependent upon prior experience, operators will be required to complete one of the following:
- 3-day experienced operator course: for partially experienced operators to improve understanding and knowledge to pass basic skills tests.
- 1-day refresher course: enabling experienced operators who have held an RTITB licence (certificate must be produced) to be reassessed and refresh their licence.

What you will learn
The RTITB programme meets the Approved Code of Practice
L117 and includes;
• The law and your responsibilities
• Truck familiarisation
• Inspection, care and maintenance
• Controls and instruments
• Weight assessment
• Starting, moving and stopping the truck
• Handling laden and unladen pallets
• Operation of hydraulic controls
• Stacking/de-stacking
• Safety code testing

Progression
On successful completion of the forklift truck experienced operator course, the learner will be provided with an RTITB certificate of completion. This will give learners the ability to progress within their workplace.

- Lift truck operations level 2 certificate
- FLT instructor/examiner
